Getting the truck to your door
Give us the neighborhood name and the full address when you book. Then ask your association what it needs from a moving company, such as a vendor form or set hours, and send it to us. If your neighborhood has a gate, put the crew on the guest list the day before. A loaded truck sitting at the wrong entrance is a slow way to start the day.
Estate homes, villas and coach homes
A large lakefront home and a two-story coach home are very different days. One may hold several rooms of heirlooms. The other may have a tight stair and a one-car garage. Tell Justin which kind of home you have, and show him the hardest piece to get out. Tall clocks go to our grandfather clock movers. Marble, stone and glass can ride in a wooden crate built to fit.
The golf cart and the garage
Garages here tend to fill up with clubs, paddleboards, coolers and a cart. A golf cart can come along as part of your household move, loaded the same day as the furniture. On its own, a car carrier usually makes more sense on price, so we suggest the cart ride with a full move. Empty its storage bin before the crew arrives and park it where we can reach it.
What stays off the truck
Pool chemicals, paint and cleaners can't ride in a moving truck, so use them up or take them to Lee County's free household chemical drop off a week or so before your date. Furniture and decor you are not keeping is a different story, and we can take those to donation or consignment during the move.
What the walkthrough covers
Justin does estimates in person from Fort Myers down to Marco Island, and the visit here takes about 10 to 15 minutes. Point out what you want packed for you, since we can box and unpack the whole house. Every piece of furniture goes in quilt pads and shrink wrap before it leaves the room. You get a guaranteed flat price on most moves, or an hourly rate if you prefer.
