Movers for Venice, island and mainland
Patrick, one of our two owners, lives in Port Charlotte and comes up to Venice to price your move in person. On moving day, the truck and crew drive up from our Fort Myers office.
Planning around the Venice drawbridges
If you live on the island, every trip to the mainland crosses a drawbridge, and the Venice Avenue and Hatchett Creek bridges open on a set federal schedule for boats. We time the loaded truck around those openings, so the crew spends the day carrying furniture instead of waiting at the water. Just tell Patrick at the walkthrough which side of the bridge you are on.
What Patrick looks at during the visit
The walkthrough is free and takes 10 to 15 minutes. Patrick goes room by room, asks what is coming and what is staying, and checks the driveway and front door. Then he gives you the price. Most moves get a guaranteed flat price, and hourly is available if it suits the job better. Furniture you are not keeping can be hauled away for an added disposal fee.
Moving into a villa or condo
Plenty of Venice moves go from a house to something smaller. Before anything is packed, we help you work out which furniture fits the new rooms. The pieces that won't fit can go to family, to a consignment shop or to charity, and our sorting and downsizing help covers that part. Donations can leave on the same day we move you.
Packing done for you
Most of our older customers let us pack, and we think that is the right call. The crew packs and unpacks with quilt pads, shrink wrap, acid-free paper and wardrobe boxes. For a parent going into assisted living, we set up the furniture and make the bed before we leave. We are a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers.
