Punta Gorda movers for canal homes and downsizers
Patrick, one of our two owners, lives in Port Charlotte and does the Punta Gorda estimates himself. The trucks and crews come up from our Fort Myers office on moving day.
Canal homes, seawalls and boat gear
Many Punta Gorda homes sit on a canal in Punta Gorda Isles or Burnt Store Isles, and the City gives owners notice before a seawall is replaced. If that work is near your house, tell Patrick, since a crane or trailer in the road changes where the truck can park. Dock boxes, fishing gear and boat cushions can come along with the household, though the boat itself needs its own plan.
Leaving a big house for a smaller one
Many canal homes hold more furniture than the next place can take. Before anything is packed, we help you work out which pieces fit the new rooms. What does not fit can go to family, to donation or consignment, or out with us for a disposal fee. Patrick goes over all of it on a free visit of about 10 to 15 minutes.
A parent going into assisted living
The first night in a new room should feel like home. We pack, move and set the furniture where it belongs, then make the bed before the crew leaves. We are a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers, and some communities only allow member movers in the building. Ask the staff about move-in hours and the loading door, and we fit the truck to their schedule. Our senior moving page explains the rest.
Price and timing
Most Punta Gorda moves get a guaranteed flat price from Patrick's walkthrough, so the total is settled before the truck comes. Hourly is there if it suits your move better. Because the crew drives up from Fort Myers, we set the start time with that trip in mind and tell you when to expect the truck. You can book the walkthrough online.
