Custom crating and packing for overseas containers
Some pieces need more than pads and shrink wrap. We crate those, and we pack household goods for overseas containers.
When a crate makes sense
Every piece of furniture we move gets quilt pads and shrink wrap. A crate is for the few items where that isn't enough: something fragile you're worried about, or something going a long way after it leaves our truck. The owner who does your estimate will look at the piece with you and tell you whether it needs one. Hold off on buying materials or taking anything apart until then.
Packing for an overseas container
We pack household goods for overseas containers. That is the packing side only. The container and the shipping are booked with a separate company, so check their rules and dates before you set a packing day with us. Tell us the container size and when it will be at the house, and we plan the packing around that.
What to tell us about the piece
Show us the item and tell us where it ends up: a new home in Florida, storage, another carrier or a container. Give us rough measurements, and say whether any part is glass, marble or loose. Tell us if it has been taken apart before. If the piece is in a storage unit or a closet we won't see on the walkthrough, send photos.
Crating with the rest of the move
Crating usually sits inside a bigger job. We can crate one or two pieces, pack the rest of the house with full packing, and move it all together. It goes on one estimate with Justin or Patrick, and most moves get a guaranteed flat price. Call (239) 415-6683 and mention the crating when you book the walkthrough.

What our customers say
Real Google reviews from customers we have moved, in their own words. Read all our reviews
Do you ship overseas?
No. We pack for overseas containers, and a separate company handles the container and the shipping.
Does every antique need a crate?
No. Every piece gets wrapped, and only some need a crate on top of that. Show the owner any piece you're unsure about.
Will you pack the house as well?
Yes. Full packing and unpacking can go on the same move as the crating.
