Leaving a 55+ community
Start with the community office. Ask about move hours, where a truck may stop and whether movers need to send anything before they come in. Measure the front door and hallway, because a big recliner or a hutch can be a tight squeeze in a manufactured home. If you live in a mobile or manufactured home, we move everything inside it, but we do not move the home itself. Justin goes over all of this in a 10 to 15 minute walkthrough.
Help for a parent's move
Often this is a parent heading to family or to assisted living. Our senior moving service covers packing, the move and setup, and the crew leaves the beds made at the new place. We are a member of the National Association of Senior Move Managers. Some senior communities want that before a moving crew comes into the building. If you are planning for a parent, you are welcome to join the walkthrough.
Sorting what makes the trip
A smaller place means some furniture stays behind. At the walkthrough we help you work out which pieces fit the new room and which can go. Leftovers can go to donation, consignment or the dump as part of the move through our donation and disposal hauls, for an optional fee. We are not a junk company, so this covers the things left over from your move.
Rural lots and town streets
North Fort Myers mixes suburban streets, busy corridors and rural land, so every move here looks a little different. A rural lot may mean a long driveway or a soft yard after rain, so send photos, and an apartment near US 41 may need a set loading spot.
