Moving antiques and grandfather clocks
Old wood furniture and grandfather clocks come up in a lot of our senior moves. We pack them tight, wrap them well and move them with the rest of the household.
Where these pieces usually come from
Many of the antiques we move belong to someone leaving a long-time home for something smaller. A china cabinet, a cedar chest, a clock that has stood in the same hallway for years. Those are often the pieces the family cares about most, and the hardest to fit in the new place. That is why this work overlaps so much with our senior moving jobs.
How we pack old wood
Old wood marks easily, and loose parts shift if they aren't held in place. We pack these pieces tight so nothing moves around on the truck. Every piece of furniture is wrapped in quilt pads and then shrink wrap before it leaves the room. Point out drawers, glass doors and anything that comes off, so the owner can plan for them at the estimate.
Tell us about the clock
At the walkthrough, show Justin or Patrick each clock and where it stands now. Tell them how old it is if you know, whether it still runs, and whether anyone has serviced it lately. Show them the path to the door and the spot where it will stand in the new home. If a relative left notes on how it was moved last time, have those handy.
Choosing which pieces make the move
A smaller home rarely has room for every antique. We help you work out which furniture fits the new rooms before anything is packed. The pieces that stay behind can go to a consignment shop or a charity as part of the same move; donation and disposal explains how that works. To book a free walkthrough, call (239) 415-6683.

What our customers say
Real Google reviews from customers we have moved, in their own words. Read all our reviews
Can you move a grandfather clock?
Yes. Grandfather clocks come up a lot in our senior moves, and we pack them along with the other antiques in the house.
Do my antiques need a crate?
Every piece gets quilt pads and shrink wrap. If you think one needs more than that, show it to the owner and ask about custom crating.
Can you sell an antique for me?
No. We can drop it at a consignment shop as part of your move, and the shop handles the sale.
