Local moving in Southwest Florida
We move households around Southwest Florida, with most of our work between Sarasota and Naples. Every truck and crew comes out of Fort Myers.
Who comes to price it
An owner does every estimate. Justin covers Fort Myers down to Marco Island, and Patrick, who lives in Port Charlotte, takes the homes to the north. The visit is free and lasts 10 to 15 minutes. Open the closets, the garage and the attic, and point out anything heavy. Most moves then get a guaranteed flat price. If you'd rather pay by the hour, you can.
How far the trucks travel
Our office is about 15 to 20 minutes from Estero, Bonita Springs and Naples, so moves down there start close to the trucks. Englewood, Port Charlotte and Sarasota are about an hour's drive. For homes as far up as Tampa, the estimate is usually done by FaceTime or video unless several visits can be grouped into one trip. Our Naples moves page has notes for that area.
Heavy and awkward items
The crew wraps all the furniture in quilt pads and shrink wrap before loading. Bring up the hard items at the walkthrough: a piano, a grandfather clock, a gun safe, a hot tub, an arcade game. We can move a pool table, but a separate company takes it apart and puts it back together. We don't move sheds, mobile homes or safes in the 10,000 pound range.
Picking a moving day
We work Monday through Saturday from 8am to 6pm, and Sunday mornings until noon. If you're leaving a condo or a gated community, check with the manager about move hours and truck parking before you settle on a date. If you want packing as well, add full packing at the estimate.
